Post One.

My name is Renee Dyke. Ironically, I live up to my last name. It is the grandest of coincidences.
I am a student, a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a friend (I hope), an employee in a job that I hope will kick start my dream career. Said employment is enabling me to participate in an exchange to BERLIN, an endeavour that is coming to fruition in two weeks, after being at the back, middle, front and side of my mind for over a year.

It still doesn't seem real, it hasn't sunk in the fact that in 14 days I will be on the other side of the world experiencing a completely different way of life. And yet I feel...happy. Unbearably happy. And I don't necessarily realise until I find myself smiling and laughing to myself in public. I feel I am about to start the rest of my life.

Oh, the joys of being young and naive.

And yet, as excited, as eager, as ready as I am to leave, I will miss this beautiful place, and the beautiful people in it.
